Discover the highlights of the Lauterbrunnen Valley on our most popular ride. This relaxed two-hour loop takes you past some of the region’s most famous waterfalls, including the impressive Staubbach Falls and the towering Mürrenbach Falls, while following quiet roads and scenic cycling paths through the valley. With gentle gradients and easy riding conditions, this tour is suitable for most riders and is especially enjoyable on one of our e-bikes. If you’d like to explore even more, you can extend the ride to around four hours with a visit to the spectacular Trümmelbach Falls, where glacial water thunders through the heart of the mountain.
To get started with your ride from Imboden Bike, turn right onto the main road. After around 400 meters the main road turns left downhill - here you drive straight ahead into 'Alte Stechelbergerstrasse'.
You have reached the Staubbach Falls. With 297 meters the highest free falling waterfall in Switzerland. While you are visiting the waterfall., remember to lock your bikes.
After the waterfall, stay on the tarmac road towards ‘Stechelberg’.
To continue with the classic 2 hour valley loop, go straight ahead here. If you want to visit the Trümmelbach Falls, you have to turn left here. This will require some time - so we recommend a 4 hour rental for the extension.
From here on, both options will follow the same description again. The tarmac road turns left here. Carry on straight ahead along the gravel track / keep to the right-hand side of the river. Follow the track until you reach the next T-junction.
At the T-junction turn left and cross the river. Keep going until you reach the main road.
Once you reach the main road, turn right and follow it all the way up to Stechelberg.
At the end of the main road you will reach Stechelberg. This is your turning point. Drive back down the valley on the main road until you reach the following sign (See turn 12).
Ride down the main road until you reach the bike path sign. Turn left and cross the river.
After crossing the river, turn right and follow the tarmac road until Lauterbrunnen.
Once you reach Lauterbrunnen get back on the main road and follow it, until you reach Imboden Bike again. We hope you enjoyed your ride!
